Orientation for Parents and Students: Wednesday, July 18th at 6 pm
Come meet the facilitators, guest teachers, and other students to learn more about the program and know what to expect. Meeting will cover itinerary, costs, locations, and waivers. Please bring any questions and concerns.
About the Facilitators:
Gloria Baraquio has been teaching in public high schools for 7 years. She founded the Yoga Program and the TV Production Program at the Hawaii Academy of Arts & Science on the Big Island. Upon moving to Honolulu, she began teaching yoga to kids, grades K-5, through Stretch Your Imagination. She recently began teaching at the Hawaii Technology Academy, where she teaches Yoga to grades K-12 and high school Photography and Video. Gloria is passionate about educating the whole child, uniting the mind, body, heart, and soul. She has six older sisters, with whom she co-hosts the “Living Local” TV show on KFVE. Her mother and sisters have been strong role models, and Gloria is passionate about empowering other women. She teaches vinyasa at various studios and Aerial Yoga at Still & Moving Center.
Cortney Harden, MSW, RH is the Owner of Mindful Wellness and has over 10 years of experience working with teens and adults, providing counseling services with a mind-body approach. She has a Master’s degree in Social Work, a B.S. in Child and Adolescent Development, and training in Reiki healing. Her personal life experiences and passion for wellness allow her to successfully support others on their own path to well-being. Cortney is dedicated to helping young people explore their own personal power and embrace their growth. She is currently the high school counselor at Hawaii Technology Academy.
