Prepare – if you choose – to perform at our Merry & Bright performance on December 14 at 5pm! \n\n\n			\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n			\n				\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n			\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				Nada McClellan\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				Nada loves sharing the pure joy of Indian dance with each of you.  \nNada McClellan fell in love with Bollywood and Indian folk dance in college and in 2012 co-founded and directed a small Bollywood dance company\, Aaja Nachle Hawaii\, which performed at events and shows all over the state and offered regular community classes and workshops.  \nNada has studied with a number of well-known dance teachers\, danced on a competitive Bhangra team\, and has directed and performed in professional videos and on stages in Hong Kong\, Macau\, New York\, and Honolulu.  \n			\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n			\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				Sumoha Min\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				Sumoha Min celebrates the vibrant dance traditions of her community by sharing it with you! \nSumoha Min grew up in Houston\, Texas\, learning Garba and Raas at an early age. She later trained in the classical Indian dance forms of Bharatnatyam and Kuchipudi\, while expanding her repertoire with modern\, contemporary\, and West African dance styles during her time at New York University.  \nSumoha’s professional journey includes serving as a principal dancer and choreographer with NYU NASHA and PatelWorks Dance Co. in New York and Tattva Dance Co. in the Bay Area. She also played a key role in founding the RAMA community\, a creative collective dedicated to empowering AAPI artists. \nAfter relocating to Hawaii in 2006\, Sumoha joined Aaja Nachle Hawaii\, where she helped produce three showcases and began teaching Bollywood dance to adults and youth. Now\, after a brief pause to focus on raising her two children (ages 3 and 5)\, she is thrilled to return to the dance community and share her passion once again through classes. \n			\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n			\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				Darsh\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				Darsh passionately shares with you the joy of dance\, simply for the love of it. \nWith years of experience and a deep love for dance\, Darsh brings energy\, enthusiasm\, and expertise to every class. She has taken part in several international festivals and taught workshops and seminars in many cities around the US\, Brazil\, Europe\, Mexico\, Uruguay and Peru.  \nA versatile professional\, Gaby teaches and dances both tango roles – followers and leaders. In each class she strives to create a joyful environment for her students to learn within. Progress each week through choreography to perform at our annual winter event\, Merry & Bright\, on December 14 at 5:00 pm.  \nTone up the entire body – arms\, legs and core – learning expressive dance skills in this soft\, remarkably versatile apparatus.  \nPrepare for your ascent into the aerial hammock with floor exercises to tone and stretch. Enjoy a fabulous\, unique workout with restful\, rejuvenating closure. \nThe techniques and strength-building exercises of the hammock help your approach to all aerial mediums. Aerial apparatus cross-training improves core control\, grip strength\, and upper body strength. The more classes you take\, the more these benefits increase! \nParticipants will need to hoist and stabilize their own body weight. Aerial Yoga is a good precursor to Aerial Hammock Dance. \nMature teens may attend with teacher permission. \nKindly let your instructor know of any injuries. Contra-indications for aerial classes: glaucoma\, heart conditions\, fused spine\, and pregnancy beyond doctor recommendation. \nArrive 15 minutes early to your first aerial to ensure you can safely enjoy your aerial class. Since space is limited and setup time is necessary\, we are not able to accommodate late arrivals to Aerial classes. Registration is for the entire Series. \nClothing Requirements:For your safety: Tight-fitting clothing\, shirts with sleeves\, leggings.For preserving the apparatus: No zippers or metal. Jewelry off. Some movers inspire us with the longing and determination to move as beautifully they do – Jessica is one of those dancers and teachers! Jessica’s commitment to authentic movement\, combined with her high skill level\, seamlessly encourages us all to elevate our own. \nJessica studied aerial silks while still a teenager\, stemming from her lifelong love of tree climbing. After some years of focus on her dance career\, she began practicing aerial again while working with the company Not Standing\, which blends dance and circus.  \nJessica has been working as a freelance dancer/choreographer and movement teacher for the last 10 years\, working and touring with several European companies and choreographers\, such as Alexander Vantournhout\, Agostina D’Alessandro\, Jason Mabana\, Zemiata\, Compagnia Petranura Danza\, Loris Petrillo\, and Roberto Zappalà\, among others.  \nJessica is the co-artistic director with Eddie Oroyan of their dance company My Homeless Lover. She likes to experiment\, research movement and keep things new\, while appreciating the need for familiarity. She is a guest artist with the Minneapolis-based company\, called Black Label Movement\, for a work that premiered at the prestigious American Dance Festival in October of 2024. \nJessica Eirado Enes was born and raised in Italy. After several trips that made her fall in love with the Hawaiian culture and land\, she officially moved to O’ahu in 2024 to begin permaculture farming of the land\, while staying connected with her dancing profession.
