SUMMARY:ALIGN - a Mindful Alignment Workshop with Regina Lumsden. In-Person & Live Online
DESCRIPTION:In-Person & Live Online \nSunday\, April 19\, 20263:00 – 4:30 pm HST \n$35 for non-members20% Discount Unlimited MembersFree for Hulali\, Malama & Annual Members \n \n Sign up for in-person\n \n Sign up for live online\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Step into a meditative journey where movement awakens inner awareness\, alignment\, and vitality. This thoughtfully designed session focuses on harmonizing the body while enhancing your natural energy flow. \nWhether your background is in dance\, yoga\, martial arts\, or you simply enjoy moving intuitively\, Align offers a welcoming approach to embodiment for everyone. \nThis practice nurtures not only physical balance but also emotional clarity and mental spaciousness. Leave feeling grounded\, refreshed\, and more deeply connected to your whole self. \nMove with intention\, ease\, and grace. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Regina Lumsden ACAD 1Academy of Mindful Movement Level 1 Training\nRegina is inspired by her clients’ journeys as they move beyond physical and emotional pain. She finds great joy in witnessing their transformation—becoming more empowered\, centered\, grounded\, and at peace—through their work together. \nA licensed massage therapist\, Regina graduated from the Hawaii College of Health Science in Honolulu after relocating from the UK in 1997. She initially practiced massage part-time before transitioning to a full-time role as a Waldorf teacher\, specializing in movement-based education. \nIn 2005\, Regina became a client of Noa Batlin\, a healing arts practitioner who works with the understanding that the body stores physical and emotional memories. When these memories go unprocessed\, they can create pain and prevent us from fully inhabiting our lives—body\, soul\, and spirit. Because these memories are often held in the fascia\, modalities such as deep tissue and myofascial release can support the process of letting go and moving toward greater freedom. \nRegina shares\, “In 2007\, I was in a car/bicycle accident that changed my life. Receiving deep tissue and myofascial release work daily helped me fully recover from what could have been permanent physical damage. That experience gave me a profound insight: our mindset shapes our lives\, and bodywork can be transformational on physical\, emotional\, and spiritual levels. It’s about committing to ourselves as we move through life.” \nAfter making a full recovery\, Regina gradually transitioned out of teaching to devote herself fully to healing bodywork therapy—a decision her many grateful clients wholeheartedly appreciate.

Her classes inspire students to think about dance and life in new\, exciting ways. \nElizabeth grew up in Hawaiʻi and is happy to be home\, dancing in the place she loves\, after more than twenty years of experience performing\, teaching\, choreographing and promoting dance. She has toured France\, Brazil\, Mexico\, and the U.S. with Tennessee Dance Theatre\, Chicago Moving Company\, Lucky Plush Productions\, and Breakbone DanceCo.\, and performed works by Bill T. Jones\, Doug Elkins\, Twyla Tharp\, and Charles Weidman. \nPrior to returning to Hawaiʻi in 2018\, Elizabeth co-founded two dance companies and two regional dance festivals on the continent\, one to promote modern dance in Chicago and one for 7-12th grade dancers and their dance educators in Mississippi. She served as an Associate Professor of Dance at the University of Southern Mississippi (USM)\, where she taught ballet\, modern\, dance education\, anatomy\, choreography\, and dance theory classes. While at USM\, Elizabeth worked to bridge the Dance and Theatre Departments\, including co-creating a full-length devised theatre work with funding from the National Endowment for the Arts and serving as Interim Chair for both departments. She holds a BA in Religion with a concentration in Women’s Studies from Carleton College\, and an MFA in Dance from the University of Washington. \n“Ms. Lentz-Hill has effervescence\, an inner glow\, and an absolute belief in what she is presenting in the studio. There is an indefinable type of energy that leaps from her to her students. These qualities projected not only from Ms. Lentz-Hill but also from the students in the residency as they worked with her. The dancers left her sessions with knowledge of a dynamic energy\, knowing they had something of value to contribute to the community around them so much greater than an ability to be a technically sound dancer. To paraphrase a student in the residency – working with Ms. Lentz-Hill was not just a lesson in technique\, it was a lesson in life! “ – Mid-Pacific Institute \n \n Sign Up Now!
