Her inspiration comes from the Joy and moving meditation she experiences in the practice of Nia\, and from the lifelong learning she’s gained at the Institute of World Culture in Santa Barbara\, California. The hip joints are part of the pelvis. The psoas muscle connects the legs to the lower back through the pelvis. Opening the hip flexors in this workshop increases healthy mobility and prevents hip damage. These Feldenkrais® movements enable you to sense the connection of your legs into your pelvis and torso so that all parts work together for powerful\, flexible movement! \nPowerful Alignments:  From the pelvic floor\, the sacrum\, the lumbar spine all the way to atlas. In this workshop you gain more mobility with more control of your pelvis and a longer spine with better alignment. Improvements in the pelvic floor\, sacral area\, diaphragm and palate lead to alignment of the entire spine! Just remember: Elvis ‘The Pelvis’ had great movement and a good voice. \nUsually when we think of muscles we think of the bigger muscles like hamstrings or stomach muscles. We rarely give attention to many important\, sometimes deep\, small muscles\, such as the ones that move the sphincter or the vertebrae of the spine. These muscle groups are often unbalanced. Crooked and inefficient usage shows up as an inherent imbalance in the system. Tight anterior muscles can inhibit organs such as the lungs and the intestines from working efficiently. \nThis Feldenkrais® workshop gives you the chance to re-balance\, restore and realign forgotten muscles\, connective tissue and organs. By practicing Feldenkrais® you give yourself the chance to transform aspects of your life that go way beyond your musculature.  \n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				Eva Alewa Geueke\nStudents appreciate Eva’s sincere care for their health and excellence on every level. Her range of personal experience in various moving art forms and her understanding of movement in the human body are vast. She has trained in a wide range of dance forms such as: Ballet\, Modern Dance\, Post Modern Dance/Release Technique\, Axis Syllabus\, Body-Mind Centering\, Contact Improvisation\, African Dance and currently Hula. \nEva Alewa Geueke has been a guild certified Feldenkrais® practitioner for 30 years. She came to the Feldenkrais Method® as a young professional dancer and it changed her understanding of the brain\, body\, movement and therefore\, herself forever. Since completing the 4-year Professional Feldenkrais Training in 1987 she has been teaching the Feldenkrais Method® internationally in thousands of private sessions\, week long seminars\, and hundreds of week-end workshops and evening classes. \nEva loves to share her knowledge and passion for conscious movement and to help people improve and excel in all areas of their lives.
