Her classes inspire students to think about dance and life in new\, exciting ways. \nElizabeth grew up in Hawaiʻi and is happy to be home\, dancing in the place she loves\, after more than twenty years of experience performing\, teaching\, choreographing and promoting dance. She has toured France\, Brazil\, Mexico\, and the U.S. with Tennessee Dance Theatre\, Chicago Moving Company\, Lucky Plush Productions\, and Breakbone DanceCo.\, and performed works by Bill T. Jones\, Doug Elkins\, Twyla Tharp\, and Charles Weidman. \nPrior to returning to Hawaiʻi in 2018\, Elizabeth co-founded two dance companies and two regional dance festivals on the continent\, one to promote modern dance in Chicago and one for 7-12th grade dancers and their dance educators in Mississippi. She served as an Associate Professor of Dance at the University of Southern Mississippi (USM)\, where she taught ballet\, modern\, dance education\, anatomy\, choreography\, and dance theory classes. While at USM\, Elizabeth worked to bridge the Dance and Theatre Departments\, including co-creating a full-length devised theatre work with funding from the National Endowment for the Arts and serving as Interim Chair for both departments. She holds a BA in Religion with a concentration in Women’s Studies from Carleton College\, and an MFA in Dance from the University of Washington. \n“Ms. Lentz-Hill has effervescence\, an inner glow\, and an absolute belief in what she is presenting in the studio. There is an indefinable type of energy that leaps from her to her students. These qualities projected not only from Ms. Lentz-Hill but also from the students in the residency as they worked with her. The dancers left her sessions with knowledge of a dynamic energy\, knowing they had something of value to contribute to the community around them so much greater than an ability to be a technically sound dancer. To paraphrase a student in the residency – working with Ms. Lentz-Hill was not just a lesson in technique\, it was a lesson in life! “ – Mid-Pacific Institute \n \n Sign Up Now!

She finds great joy in witnessing their transformation—becoming more empowered\, centered\, grounded\, and at peace—through their work together. \nA licensed massage therapist\, Regina graduated from the Hawaii College of Health Science in Honolulu after relocating from the UK in 1997. She initially practiced massage part-time before transitioning to a full-time role as a Waldorf teacher\, specializing in movement-based education. \nIn 2005\, Regina became a client of Noa Batlin\, a healing arts practitioner who works with the understanding that the body stores physical and emotional memories. When these memories go unprocessed\, they can create pain and prevent us from fully inhabiting our lives—body\, soul\, and spirit. Because these memories are often held in the fascia\, modalities such as deep tissue and myofascial release can support the process of letting go and moving toward greater freedom. \nRegina shares\, “In 2007\, I was in a car/bicycle accident that changed my life. Receiving deep tissue and myofascial release work daily helped me fully recover from what could have been permanent physical damage. That experience gave me a profound insight: our mindset shapes our lives\, and bodywork can be transformational on physical\, emotional\, and spiritual levels. It’s about committing to ourselves as we move through life.” \nAfter making a full recovery\, Regina gradually transitioned out of teaching to devote herself fully to healing bodywork therapy—a decision her many grateful clients wholeheartedly appreciate.

This casual\, hands-on workshop introduces the foundational techniques of Sarga Bodywork using a floor-based setup. Participants will learn about the unique principles and theories underpinning Sarga Bodywork\, with detailed demonstrations of basic barefoot techniques in a supportive group environment. The course aims to provide a taste of the Sarga practice\, allowing attendees to decide if they would like to pursue further training in the modality. This course offers 3.5 continuing education hours (CEs). Participants will explore foot-based awareness\, foot mechanics\, and sanitation\, focusing on the Sarga Silk alignment and wrapping methods. The workshop includes a signature Sarga Bodywork move\, allowing attendees to both observe and practice\, creating a comprehensive hands-on learning experience. This short course is tailored for bodyworkers seeking to integrate barefoot massage techniques into their existing practices. By the end of the session\, participants will have a basic understanding of Sarga Bodywork’s unique contribution to myofascial massage and decide their future learning path in this modality. Combined with my background in Structural Integration and Neuromuscular Therapy\, it gave me an even deeper ability to listen and respond to restrictions in the myofascial matrix. It took the pressure off my fingers\, wrists\, and shoulders and allowed me to channel that force through my whole body. After giving a Sarga session\, I often found myself feeling more energized than when I started. While applying the Sarga Bodywork techniques to relieve specific injuries and chronic pain conditions\, I noticed a greater sense of freedom in my clients’ bodies\, profound shifts in their state of being\, and a more consistent rebook rate. \nI teach this work from a place of deep respect and gratitude. My aim is not only to help you master the technique but to teach you to truly sense the tissue transforming through the many tools contained within your feet. I look forward to instructing you and helping to make Sarga an integral part of your practice. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Kumu Mālia Helelā\n \n \n \n \n \n Kumu Mālia Ko’i’ulaokawaolehua Helelā strives to live a life of grace. Completing her uniki (graduation) under Kumu Hula Puluelo Park in 2002\, she now teaches hula and oli (traditional Hawaiian chanting) to a wide range of students\, from infants and toddlers to kupuna. Mālia studied oli under Kumu Hula Keola Lake. She began her formal training in lomilomi massage as a teenager. She was licensed by the State of Hawaii as a massage therapist in 1998 and as an esthetician in 2002. Her hula practice and lomilomi practice\, she says\, are the same. She continues to look to the beauty and grace of the Hawaiian environment for grounding and inspiration.
