An Offering<\/h1>\n

We all have an invitation
<\/span>A choice to live a moment
<\/span>Or to slip away, shy away, hide away
<\/span>A sliver of a difference on the surface
<\/span>But an entirely different world
<\/span>depending on which we choose.<\/span><\/p>\n

The same step, movement, glance
<\/span>Can be an opening into the depths of this life
<\/span>Or a blur that quickly passes<\/span><\/p>\n

Each moment is an offering
<\/span>Knocking at the door of our souls
<\/span>Always ready for the answer
<\/span>And it\u2019s up to us to open the door
<\/span>Welcoming in the burst of aliveness
<\/span>The radiant dance of life.<\/span><\/p>\n

Into Quiet<\/h1>\n

Some days we need to get quiet
<\/span><\/span>The kind of quiet that lays out the canvas<\/span>
For all the myriad of thoughts to come<\/span>
Marching, splattering, clattering in.<\/span><\/p>\n

We might wonder, in the thick of it,<\/span>
How does this noisy stillness bring me any closer to peace\u2014<\/span>
To that the radiant light that unwaveringly <\/span>
Illuminates within?<\/span><\/p>\n

As we sit, walk, dance through <\/span>
the chattering, bumbling tumble,<\/span>
At some point we may realize: <\/span>
I am the one holding the string to all these <\/span>
Clutter-some thoughts<\/span><\/p>\n

Then we might look out,<\/span>
Seeing our hand reaching up,<\/span>
Grasping the strings.<\/span><\/p>\n

We trace the line down our arm,<\/span>
Continuing until we reach the self<\/span>
And what a surprise this next part can be!<\/span><\/p>\n

At first it seems plain,<\/span>
Of course, it\u2019s me who clutches these ideas,<\/span>
This scatter of matters that I have used<\/span>
To get around from here to there.<\/span>
But then you look further.<\/span><\/p>\n

The one who holds the strings is not exactly the same <\/span>
As the One who watches this whole thing play out.<\/span>
More and more you find yourself as the One who observes,<\/span>
Aware of all the movement, now like a symphony<\/span><\/p>\n

And then at this point, a new quiet comes along<\/span>
You can see what\u2019s going on…<\/span><\/p>\n

And maybe, a wave of a deeper fragrance of peace<\/span>
Seeps in.<\/p>\n

Like sunlight after gentle rain.<\/span>

<\/span>Excitement
<\/span>For the unknown path ahead

Within each of us
<\/span>Beats the steady drum of life

May we embrace the wide and winding road
Grounded in the love of our dear ones

<\/span>The exciting prospects,
<\/span>The trembling questions,
<\/span>The triumphs and downfalls?<\/span><\/p>\n

To say Yes, is to keep stepping through the door
Of possibility, uncertainty, hope.
<\/span>Sometimes a yes is as quiet as an intention
<\/span>Maintained with resilience,
<\/span>Sometimes a yes is as loud as your most daring dream
<\/span>The one that calls you out from the comfort of your room
<\/span>And brings you into the world dancing,
<\/span>Leaping, daring
