Recognized for classes that build a solid technique while creating a class atmosphere that allows dancers to reach their highest potential, Ms. Ortega has also been a guest teacher at the College of Marin, Laney College, St. Mary&#8217;s College, College of Southern Idaho, West Hawaii Dance Center, and Escola de Danca da Universidade Federal de Bahia, Brazil among others.<\/p>\n<p>Ms. Ortega co-founded the En Avant Dance Collective and co-owned Dance Theatre Seven where she directed the junior and adult division and the Chrysalis Contemporary Dance Company. She has twice received a Marin Arts Council Individual Artists award for her innovative choreography.
