<\/span>Hui Mahi’ai Aina is a growing housing space in Waimanalo created in 2020 by <\/span>Blanche McMillan, <\/span>to offer shelter, food and safety to houseless people of Oahu.<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n

Join us and community leader Blanche McMillan – an amazing champion of community uplift – for an inspired day of connecting to share food, supplies, and cheer to our house-less brothers and sisters around the island. Auntie Blanche is the founder of Hui Mahi\u2019ai \u2018\u0100ina, a tiny house village in Waimanalo for folks transitioning out of homelessness. You can read more about Auntie Blanche and her tiny house village below.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Still & Moving Center Members initiated this event by suggesting that we organize opportunities to support the community, especially those less fortunate than ourselves. Without the wherewithal to travel to Maui to support fire victims, we are instead caravaning to support the needy on our own island.<\/span><\/p>\n

As a preparatory event, Blanche has also invited us to come out to Hui Mahi\u2019ai \u2018\u0100ina in Waimanalo on <\/span>Friday, October 13<\/b> to help prepare the meals we will hand out on Saturday.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/strong>8:00 am<\/b> Meet at Still & Moving Center lobby (arrive early to get coffee or tea from PeleKai Coffee!)<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

8:15 am<\/b> Caravan to Salvation Army, downtown to meet Blanche, her fellow community leaders, and Hui Mahi\u2019ai \u2018\u0100ina friends.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

8:30 am – 4:00 or 5:00 pm<\/b> Distribution with Blanche and friends of brown bag lunches and supplies around the island.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
