That\u2019s the feeling you\u2019ll get watching and learning with Josefina Stellato! The closeness, the confidence, the breath-taking swoops and tantalizing pauses\u2026\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Josefina Stellato has been dancing Argentine tango at the highest level for more than two decades. She\u2019s now arrived at Still & Moving Center as our Artist in Residence for about 6 months!<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span>As a performer, Josefina has been a member of renowned choreographer Leonardo Cuello\u2019s tango company at the National University of the Arts in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She\u2019s been a cast member of Social Tango Project for the past decade, performing in multiple theaters in Buenos Aires! In 2023, Josefina participated in the company\u2019s North American tour and performed at Kennedy Center in New York City.<\/span><\/p>\n As a teacher, Josefina deepened her understanding of pedagogy under the direction of Dana Frigoli and the DNI Tango school in Buenos Aires, where Josefina served as a senior faculty member. She was also an official member of the DNI Tango Company, where she participated in the live shows \u201cDos, lo que se disuelve\u201d, \u201cAsim\u00e9trico\u201d, \u201cSeres Materiales\u201d; a film version of \u201cDos\u201d, and \u201cRemueve la piel suspire\u201d, which Josefina created and choreographed.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span>Josefina has taught and performed at international festivals in Europe and during the pandemic gained a devoted following for her online lessons.
