Introduce yourself to hammock dancing or stay conditioned for the next Aerial Hammock Dance series.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Tone up the entire body \u2013 arms, legs and core \u2013 learning expressive dance skills in this soft, remarkably versatile apparatus: the aerial hammock.<\/span><\/p>\n Prepare with floor exercises to tone and stretch for your ascent into the aerial hammock, hung at hip height. Enjoy a fabulous, unique workout with restful, rejuvenating closure.<\/span><\/p>\n Participants need to hoist – not far, but a bit – and stabilize their own body weight. Aerial Yoga is a good precursor to Aerial Hammock Dance.<\/span><\/p>\n The techniques and strength-building exercises of the hammock help your approach to all aerial mediums, such as the lyra. Aerial apparatus cross-training improves core control, grip strength, and upper body strength. The more classes you take, the more these benefits increase!<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0As you grow in your aerial practice, you not only train your body\u2026 you train your mind as well! If you need to cultivate attention, concentration and focus, practicing an aerial skill will serve you well.<\/span><\/p>\n Mature teens may attend by permission of our Aerial Faculty.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n Kindly let your instructor know of any injuries. Contra-indications for aerial classes: glaucoma, heart conditions, fused spine, and pregnancy beyond doctor recommendation.<\/span><\/p>\n Please pre-register for all aerial classes at least an hour in advance. Arrive 15 minutes early to ensure you can safely enjoy your Aerial class.
