Maile Labasan Severson,
E-RYT® 200, RYT® 500

Students love taking Maile’s classes for the infectious good cheer and confidence that she shares. Maile is excited to be a part of our Still and Moving Center community and to share the joy of moving in a safe, fun, and mindful environment.

Maile became a certified group fitness instructor more than 30 years ago to support herself through graduate school. Little did she know that despite an active family life and a fulfilling professional career, she wouldn’t feel complete without continuing to teach fitness. She sees movement as a key factor in maintaining a harmonious, happy, & healthy life.  Whether it’s teaching yoga, Zumba®, HIIT, barre, dance, strength training, or any other format, for Maile it must involve fun to be worth doing.

Maile fell in love with yoga when she was pregnant with her first child 20 years ago, and it helped her recover from a challenging birthing experience. While running her private psychology practice, she obtained her 200 & 300 hours Registered Yoga Teaching certifications and has been delighted with the many ways that yoga philosophy naturally integrates with her work as a licensed psychologist. She is passionate about sharing the many ways that yoga can promote not only physical health but mental and emotional wellbeing as well.

Maile provides a welcoming, accepting, and safe context for her students. Join her classes to access the best version(s) of yourself through fun mindful movement!
