SUMMARY:Palena Workshop: A Hawaiian Perspective on Mapping Your Life Path with Kumu Mālia Helelā. In-person & Live Online
DESCRIPTION:Last Sunday of the month5:00 – 6:30 PM HST \n\n\n\nOctober 25\, 2026 \n\n\n\nFuture PalenaNovember 29\, 2026 \n\n\n\nFREE sponsored by Still & Moving Meditation Fellowship \n\n\n\nLet’s gather together to visualize your life path from a Hawaiian perspective. In this workshop\, we explore the Palena\, the boundaries or protected spaces\, of your unique life map. \n\n\n\nWhat is Palena? \n\n\n\nBased on Hawaiian values\, Kumu Mālia visualizes the concept of Palena as a heart-shaped island map representing our life. Somewhat akin to various ‘life wheels’ used in self-help and life-coaching practices\, this island contains eight districts\, symbolically representing eight aspects of our life. This Palena framework for looking at any given topic or  situation provides the onlooker with a view that is both more expansive and more in-depth.  \n\n\n\nKumu Mālia’s deep immersion in Hawaiian language\, culture and history\, as well as her experience in hula\, lomilomi and as a mother of four\, have together inspired and informed her symbolic Palena outlook. See how the Palena perspective brings clarity to the way you understand life. \n\n\n\nWhat to expect: \n\n\n\nCome prepared for thoughtful introspection\, journaling\, and optional discussion. All writing material will be provided. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nPalena Workshop Schedule

SUMMARY:The Epic Tale of the Ramayana 2026 with Still & Moving and Hawaii Theatre
DESCRIPTION:Purchase Tickets\n \n \n \n \n \n A Hawaii Theatre production in partnership with the Still & Moving Meditation Fellowship + Still & Moving Community Center \nFriday\, November 6\, 2026 · Pre-show talk 6:30 PM · Curtain 7:00 PM\nLocation: Hawai’i Theatre 1130 Bethel StreetHonolulu\, HI 96813 \nFor nearly two decades\, Still & Moving has marked Diwali\, the Indian festival of lights\, with a living retelling the world’s oldest epic: the Ramayana. What began as a small community gathering — a story shared among students and teachers — has grown into a full theatrical production\, drawing dozens of performers ranging in age from 5 to 85. This year\, for the first time\, that story steps onto one of the most storied stages in the Pacific: the Hawaiʻi Theatre. \nThe Epic Tale of the Ramayana follows Prince Ram and Princess Sita\, cast from their kingdom into exile\, and the courage\, loyalty\, and love that carry them through it — including Sita’s abduction by the ten-headed demon king Ravana\, and her rescue by the troops Prince Ram and the devoted monkey-warrior Hanuman. At its heart\, it’s a story about the triumph of good over selfishness\, light over darkness — the very themes Diwali itself celebrates. \nBringing this beloved tradition to the Hawaiʻi Theatre — with its own century of history as a gathering place for Honolulu’s arts and culture — marks a new chapter for Still & Moving Meditation Fellowship & Still & Moving Community Center\, with an invitation for the wider community to witness and participate in this joyous annual celebration.  \nJoin us Friday\, November 6\, 2026\, for a pre-show talk at 6:30 PM offering context on the story and its traditions\, with curtain at 7:00 PM. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Learn more HERE
