Martial Arts for Mindfulness, Health & Vitality
Mindfulness Training & Martial Arts: Tai Chi & Qigong, Hawaii. Find your center with martial arts and mindfulness training at Still & Moving. Take Tai Chi and Qigong classes, in-person or online!
Our ability to hold focused attention in Qigong and Tai Chi cultivates a calm intentionality, and a clarity of purpose. As we circulate life force energy qi or chi, we flush vitality through our entire system, on the physical and also more subtle levels of our being. Our mentality sharpens as we gather our normally distracted thoughts into concentration on the practice at hand. Still & Moving Center in Hawaii offers mindfulness training and martial arts classes, online and in person, as a way to cultivate not war but peace. Through the self-discipline of these practices, we reduce our tendency to react with violence, and our self-confidence serves as a natural shield of protection.
Practicing Qigong or Tai Chi increases and circulates your life force by means of breath work, visualization, meditation, self-massage, static holds, and flowing movement sequences. With a deep respect for the roots of their respective martial arts traditions, your instructors at Still & Moving Center each bring a personal touch, individualized attention, and compassion to their students.
Here at Still & Moving Center in Hawaii, we offer a wide variety of mindfulness training and martial arts classes online, such as Qigong & Tai Chi Chuan.
T’ai Chi Ch’uan from ancient China offers you an opportunity to calm your nervous system and enhance your memory as you learn a sequence of twenty-four moves that evolve with practice into a slow, graceful moving meditation. Qigong is the Chinese internal art of cultivating one’s vital energy, improving our overall health and wellbeing, including strengthening the immune system, “cleaning” the mind, and calming the emotions.
In each of our mindful martial arts practices, the intention is the same: enhancing your energy flow and your body-mind-spirit health. No matter your current level, we have a class suitable for you.
All of our classes are taught LIVE – never pre-recorded – and are offered in 3 learning formats:
Live Online: Virtual class from the comfort of your own home.
In-studio Livestream: Virtual class in studio with your fellow students and the instructor streaming to our large screen monitors.
In-person: Classes led the “old-fashioned” way – with your teacher leading the session in person in the studio.
