Are you ready to unlock the potential of your voice and explore the wonderful world of music?
Join in for a special one-day workshop, “Discover Your Voice,” designed for anyone who wants to learn the essentials of vocal and music training. Connect with your voice and develop a solid musical foundation, whether you’re a complete beginner or experienced musician. Attend and receive personalized guidance from a professional vocal and music instructor.
The session will begin with vocal Warm-Ups, offering you routines to prepare your voice for singing and speaking that you can use anytime later in your life. Continuing to practice these warm-ups can even prevent vocal strain and injury while enhancing tone and flexibility.
In this fun and interactive session, you’ll learn breathing techniques and exercises to help you maximize lung capacity and maintain a steady airflow. You’ll discover the importance of enunciation, the art of clear and precise pronunciation, to improve vocal delivery. Learn how shaping your mouth also impacts your sound and projection.
Join us and get comfortable with musical scales – the building blocks for pitch control, melody creation, and vocal accuracy.
Enhance your confidence in your voice while having fun. Whether singing in the shower or on stage, these techniques help you to fully express yourself. This is more than just a workshop; it’s a stepping stone toward ongoing vocal development and a deeper connection to your voice.
Dustin inspires his musical students to feel excited and confident in their voices. Through his own tumultuous journey of discovering himself vocally and musically, he empowers you to find your own abilities – no matter how seemingly hidden!
Dustin showed early musical talent. His parents, both preachers, somehow scraped together the money to give their young son piano lessons. Yet at some point he lost all faith in his musical ability. After an eventful breakthrough, Dustin went on to sing and accompany the full gospel choir on keyboard. He eventually toured the nation and spread the joy of music performing for churches, jails, and people in hospice. Dustin sang as a backup vocalist at popular concerts by Janet Jackson, The Winans, Kirk Franklin, and Donny McKlerken. Now, he finds joy in giving back the magic of music here at Still & Moving Center to students from all walks of life.
