September 6, 2014, @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm HST

September 6, 2014

6:30 pm – 8:00 pm(HST)

Price: $20

Kirtan with Anandra and Amit is a heavenly experience of call and response mantra chanting set to Indian classical rāgas and refined tablā rhythms.

We begin the saturation in sacred sound with call-and-response rāga singing on the Sanskṛt vowel of ānanda (bliss) shakti Ā… with the delicate strains of the heavenly guitar. Then Amit starts laying down his funky Indian/jazz/funk grooves as we sing the names of the Beloved and churn out the divine nectar from within in ecstatic surrender!

Join us… Discover the worlds within worlds of each musical mood, within each mantric syllable, and release the sweetness of your own uniquely sweet devotional voice. Beginners welcome.
