A practical group exploration of sound, voice, silence, stillness, movement and music modalities for healing and joy. All instruments and levels of playing experience are welcome, including the singing voice. Come as you are and start where you’re at.
In this workshop, we will explore the possibilities of music as a vehicle for inner and outer peace – knowing self, finding community, building groove, breathing into coherence, singing into harmony.
Sonia & Nigel share insights, musical games, improvisation techniques, tips and tricks to expand one’s musical tool kit and horizons.
We will all learn and benefit from each other’s presence and creative contributions!

Arriving from New Zealand, Sonia and Nigel delight their audiences with exquisite musicianship and a fresh, vibrant sound as they travel the world. These two exuberantly share songs as a vehicle for peace, joy, healing and community-building. Their music celebrates beauty, love and ecology. This multi-cultural acoustic duo features French-American Sonia Wilson on vocals and ukulele and New Zealand-American virtuoso musician Nigel Gavin on a 7-stringed guitar.
Let yourself alternately soar and toe-tap as Sonia and Nigel weave their own original compositions and inspiration from French, Kiwi, and American songs. Nigel finds inspiration in the nature and life of New Zealand, and Sonia’s glorious voice rises up from her Parisian roots. After meeting and playing together for the first time at a folk festival in New Zealand in December 2014, the pair have since become a well-loved duo in the New Zealand music scene and beyond.
