Diandra traveled North America and Europe for five years with Trinity Irish Dance Company after earning her title as a champion-level, world-ranked competitive Irish Step dancer. She has danced on Broadway, with the Joyce Theatre, and in Hollywood films.
Now, Diandra dedicates her life to studying cultural dances ranging from West African and Bhangra, to Brazilian Samba, Chicago House and Argentine Zapateado. She spent ten years dancing in West Africa and the Caribbean, where she trained with Sankofa Center for African Dance and Culture, choreographed for Carnival troupes and Soca artists, produced “Long Legs Arts Fest,” and presented her publication “The Cultural Dancer: An Awary Ambassador” at the International Dance Conference in Barbados.
Diandra also shares her passion for mindful movement as a certified Pilates and 500 hour trained Yoga teacher, and as a climate change educator—having survived the eye of historic Hurricane Irma in 2017, on which she published a memoir “Irma Was Here.”
A versatile and dynamic musician, Hollow Moon moves forward with an extensive background in global music traditions, including West African, Polynesian, and Balinese genres. With a seamless blend of tradition and innovation, Hollow’s work radiates rhythm, spirit, and joy, captivating audiences wherever she goes.
Her journey began with ecstatic dance events, leading to performances in Afro-fitness classes, spiritual retreats, ceremonies, and sound baths. Hollow’s talents have graced a wide range of events, from weddings and graduations to corporate gatherings with clients like Microsoft, The Hub Coworking, and Bishop’s Museum, creating vibrant and memorable experiences for all.
As a student of the Samoan Fireknife School in Oahu under Mangu Mu, and a musician with Kalena’s Polynesian Ohana Production Group, Hollow brings a unique blend of musicality and performance artistry to every stage. She is also a skilled martial artist, studying disciplines such as Filipino Martial Arts, Silat, Capoeira, and boxing, adding a powerful dimension to her creative repertoire.
With a background in filmmaking, scriptwriting, and editing developed during her time at the Art Institute of Atlanta, Hollow incorporates narrative depth into her artistry. She intertwines her passion for music and storytelling with her role as a global traveler and community builder, connecting with cultures worldwide to inspire and create.
