In this first part of the 2-day workshop we focus on organizing and empowering the strongest part of our body: the pelvis. You learn how to use your pelvic floor to gain strength and length in your back and spine. You learn to move your pelvis as your power center and keep your sacrum balanced.
The diaphragm has a close relationship with the pelvic floor. They both need to be elastic and powerful, working together with your breathing and movement, to promote proper functioning of organs, muscles, facia and ensure powerful pain-free action.
Often the reason for neck and lower back pain is a stiff or twisted thoracic spine. Scoliosis, for example, can pull unevenly on your sacral area and cause discomfort or sciatica. So this workshop may also help to solve your lower back/pelvic problems.
Through the diaphragm and eyes we will unwind unwanted curves (anti-scoliosis and round back) and create length and freedom of movement.
The easy and gentle movements prescribed in the Feldenkrais® method help us learn to recognize and eliminate many of the common habits that interfere with easy, effortless vision, and good spinal organization.
