All levels welcome

If you’re seeking exercise that doesn’t feel like it, come to this dance class!

This “awe-somatic” contemporary dance both fills the spirit and pumps your blood! Together, we seek to release judgment from dancing and remember the joy. Through somatic dance, we approach the body as a landscape for exploration. Following an energizing warm-up that mindfully includes conditioning and toning, we break down playful and musical choreography into a low risk and  curiosity-building event. This class will groove to a variety of uplifting, upbeat music, inviting the movers on a journey full of AWE.

Reconnect with your body, rewire your brain by playing with coordination and rhythm, all while giving yourself a great workout. Come free the mind and loosen up your dancing skills on an early Friday evening to jumpstart your weekend!

Jessica Eirado

Jessica thrills her audience and her students. Some movers inspire us with the longing and determination to move as beautifully they do – Jessica is one of those dancers and teachers! Jessica’s commitment to authentic movement, combined with her high skill level, seamlessly encourages us all to elevate our own.

Jessica studied aerial silks while still a teenager, stemming from her lifelong love of tree climbing. After some years of focus on her dance career, she began practicing aerial again while working with the company Not Standing, which blends dance and circus.

Jessica has been working as a freelance dancer/choreographer and movement teacher for the last 10 years, working and touring with several European companies and choreographers, such as Alexander Vantournhout, Agostina D’Alessandro, Jason Mabana, Zemiata, Compagnia Petranura Danza, Loris Petrillo, and Roberto Zappalà, among others.

Jessica is the co-artistic director with Eddie Oroyan of their dance company My Homeless Lover. She likes to experiment, research movement and keep things new, while appreciating the need for familiarity. She is a guest artist with the Minneapolis-based company, called Black Label Movement, for a work premiering in the prestigious American Dance Festival 2024 in October.

Jessica Eirado Enes was born and raised in Italy. After several trips that made her fall in love with the Hawaiian culture and land, she officially moved to O’ahu in 2024 to begin permaculture farming of the land, while staying connected with her dancing profession. You’ll enjoy her earthiness!
