What is a Mindful Movement
Instructor?

An instructor who:

• Respects and protects the safety and health of the mover’s body

• Teaches their students/athletes/performers to pay attention to body sensations to guide their movement

• Teaches their movers to move from the inside, out

• Teaches with continuity of consciousness, rather than with scattered, haphazard lack of awareness

• Enhances Joy and Self-awareness

Next Academy Instructor Level 1 Training Begins: July 29th, 2024

This is a 40 hour online certificate course of 4 hours per week which includes:
1 hour of Independent Study + 1 Live Group Session on Wednesdays 8-10:00 AM + 1 Live Pod Session on Thursdays 8:00 AM OR Fridays 8:00 AM.
All times are HST.

The Academy of Mindful Movement trains instructors to:

Teach to the whole person,

Create authentic connections,

Get results while protecting movers from injury, 

Offer a space brimming with potential, where movers feel safe, supported and eager to learn.

An instructor who:

Teaches their movers to pay attention to the body’s sensations & needs,

Respects & protects their movers’ bodies,

Teaches with continuity of consciousness,

& embraces Joy!

The Academy accepts experienced instructors of any movement practice: athletic, artistic, fitness, recreational, therapeutic.
We train instructors to teach with greater awareness, to enhance the safety & sustainability of their movement practice, and we certify to the public that our Instructors are teaching their practice safely, mindfully – and Joyfully.
