Aerial Yoga & Fitness Classes in Hawaii

The aerial hammock is here to be your friend, your balance, and your support in this unique yoga class at our Hawaii fitness center. Aerial Yoga / AIReal Yoga is a great way to benefit from the poses of yoga, no matter what your experience level may be. Relax and tune into your innate strength and stability. Imagine how long your spine could feel doing a down-dog pose while your hips are suspended in an aerial hammock. As you settle into the position, your neck and back naturally lengthen with gravity to feel GREAT!

Throughout our Aerial Yoga classes here in Hawaii, you work on traditional yoga poses with aerial variations. Your silky, sling-like hammock, which hangs and swivels from a single point, acts as another yoga prop. It assists you with both balance and stability, wrapping around you to hold your full body’s weight so that you feel comfortable and completely supported. Inversions anyone? The hammock also serves as your very own spotter, allowing you to experience and feel benefits from even the yoga poses you did not think possible.

One part of your body or another is almost always touching the ground in AIReal Yoga. The big exception is savasana at the end of class when you get to snuggle up or stretch out in your hanging cocoon. It’s so relaxing! Don’t laugh if you hear another student softly snoring… it could be you next time!

Caregivers dance together with their keiki so that everybody learns something! Most hula are performed seated, so keiki can explore hula from the safety of a familiar lap. The 30 minute class time is just right for developing attention spans.
