Hawaii Moving Meditation Yoga & Fitness Classes. Still & Moving Center in Hawaii teaches students to Be Here Now in our moving meditation yoga, hula and fitness classes.

Our many diverse classes at Still & Moving Center in Hawaii come from the wide world’s cultural traditions. What do these classes all have in common? Mindfulness. Being here now. And everyone is welcome. No matter your age, your gender, your ethnicity, your location, your income, or your fitness level, you will find an open door at Still & Moving Center!

Our 100 class options per week guide students to become grounded in the moment. Some of our classes engage in formal sitting meditation. All of our fitness classes can be taken as moving meditations. Whether moving or still, you find wellness, healing and Joy!

Our mindfulness classes encourage students to connect mind and body. You will NOT find anyone here listening to headphones while reading a book and plodding away on a treadmill – that would be the opposite of a mind-body practice! 

Students at Still & Moving Center participate in our classes and workshops as independent, self-directed learners. From keiki to kupuna, kids to seniors, our students are engaged in their own learning process. We ask students to listen to their own bodies as they move and make the necessary adjustments to ensure that every movement is safe and healthy. When mind and body are purposefully engaged, our spirit can shine through.

Our moving meditation, yoga and fitness classes honor a multiplicity of cultures, from Hawaii, India, Japan, China, Korea, Africa, Brazil, Turkey, the Middle East, and many more. Some traditions have cultivated meditation through sitting practices, some through yoga, some through the martial arts, some through dance, some through music, some through chanting, some through fine arts and handcrafts, some through mindful cooking. 

You can also find private instruction, coaching and bodywork, as well as teacher trainings in many disciplines, from Yoga, to Nia, to Mindful Movement, to Hula, to Lomilomi massage, to AIReal Yoga. We conduct private parties and corporate team building, all along the themes of community and wellness. Heathy activities can be fun and build togetherness!

Still & Moving Center continually seeks new activities that explore meditation either in stillness or in motion. We hold to the position that each of the world’s traditions has something to offer along these lines. By exposing ourselves to the rich variety of global offerings, we become more well-rounded human beings. As we gain awareness of Self, access to the best of world culture, and presence in the moment, we realize that we are whole human beings, body-mind-spirit.
