The Wide World of Aerial
More than a bucket-list activity, Aerial Dance and Aerial Yoga as regular activities condition your body uniquely, extending your spine, improving your strength, your balance, and your spatial awareness, balance, and even lymphatic drainage. You also give yourself a big confidence boost!
Still & Moving Center’s aerial program offers vertical options for both Aerial Yoga and Aerial Dance. In Aerial Yoga, the silk hammock supports the body’s weight to attain optimal alignment and spinal decompression, accessible to many body types and fitness levels. In Aerial Dance, the silks, trapeze and steel lyra hoops support students in exciting vertical choreography, cultivating core and upper body strength.
Aerial classes can be great for all ages and depending on the style, can be used for relaxation or as a form of conditioning, or as an expressive moving art form. One of Still & Moving Center’s more accomplished aerialists is in her 70’s!
At Still & Moving Center, safety takes top priority. We are here to make sure you are listening to your body and learning techniques designed for optimizing safe movement.
