Our teachers give you so many creative approaches to mindful fitness, they just don’t fit into the brand-name boxes! Given their diverse backgrounds of expertise, they bring you the practices that work best in their life experience! A number of Still & Moving Center’s teachers are renaissance movers – each trained in a wide and deep spectrum of moving arts, backed up with deep study of the body’s anatomy and physiology.
You will always find in our fitness classes great attention to proper body mechanics so that you move the way your human body is designed to move: safely and efficiently. You will also be called upon to listen to your unique body’s voice and needs. Your body has its own genetice design, its own history from the ways you’ve moved it up until this point. Honoring your own body in all its beautiful, unique glory, becomes the path to a fitter, healthier, happier you!

Move Gently
Feldenkrais is a revolutionary method of exercise that uses gentle movements that bring about mindfulness and awareness to every facet of life. The Feldenkrais method was developed by Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais and has helped millions of people to powerfully improve their lives. It is performed through gentle movements with the purpose of restoring the nervous system and bringing healing to long withstanding structural issues of the body. At the core of Feldenkrais is the idea that how you move your body is how you also move through life, and as you improve the way your body moves, you will also see improvement in many other areas of life. By increasing awareness of one’s body, one can get rid of old habits and tension points and live a fuller and more comfortable life.
