The goal of life is to make your heartbeat match the beat of the universe, to match your nature with Nature. – Joseph Campbell

Turning to nature, the ultimate source of life-sustaining support, can offer solace and refuge from both personal and societal challenges. Many ancient and indigenous traditions throughout the world have taught nature meditation practices. Science attests to the mental and physical benefits of connecting with nature.

In this retreat we will practice guided meditation, gentle meditative movement, and journaling. You can participate anywhere safe outdoors where you have internet service and are free from too many distractions and background noises such as a park, beach, your backyard or lanai, looking out at nature from a window, or from anywhere inside your home.

Whether you are in need of self care, could use soul nourishment to better support others, or are just curious about nature connection practices, this online retreat is for you. Through connecting to nature we cultivate our awareness, inner peace and mental resilience.

Lizabeth has led nature and yoga/meditation workshops, retreats, and private sessions for several years. She passionately facilitates opportunities to explore silence, heart opening, equanimity, and the calm that unfolds when people practice ‘presence in nature’.

Preparation:  Be sure to have a journal and pen and a comfortable sitting area. If practicing outdoors, please take all necessary precautions (e.g., sunscreen, insect repellant, bring water). If practicing indoors, make every effort to surround yourself with any gifts you have gathered in nature or elements of nature (e.g., a bowl of water, a pinch of earth, a living plant or the light of a candle).

No previous experience is necessary.
