Samba Reggae Dance: A 2-part Workshop with Marnita Billups. In-Person

Experience a high-energy, soul-nourishing session where dynamic rhythm meets pure celebration. Rooted in the rich cultural lineage of Samba Reggae, this workshop invites you to release stress,celebrate the power of moving together, and reconnect with your body’s natural capacity for joy. Blending mindful presence, polyrhythmic movement, and expressive dance, this session offers a supportive space to sweat, groove, and feel fully present.

No prior dance experience needed—just bring an open heart and a desire to move freely.

Marnita Billup

Hailing from Southern California, Marnita has spent over 20 years immersed in dance as a performer, choreographer, and teacher trained in movement from the African Diaspora (i.e. West African, Brazilian, Haitian, Hip hop, House) and Modern dance. She blends rhythmic movement with emotional well-being, creating a supportive space where folx can play, honor themselves,and reconnect with their bodies. Marnita’s classes invite you to reclaim your power, express yourself freely, and define what true joy feels like on your own terms.
