Sitting is the New Smoking! – Posture Clinic: Neck, Shoulders, Upper Back

What will be included in every workshop: Learn to assess and correct posture • Relieve tension • Reduce or eliminate pain • Increase range of motion • Improve balance • Strengthen weak areas

Current research shows that excessive sitting is the cause of many health problems later in life. This very hands-on workshop series will teach you strategies to counteract the problems of too much sitting and the resulting poor posture. Even if we do exercise regularly, we often fall out of alignment both sitting and standing because we’re unaware of our poor posture and habits.

In the same way that smoking negatively affects your health, sitting and poor posture will, over time, affect your spine, joints and muscles. When we understand how to correct our posture, we not only instantly look better, but we also move more efficiently with better balance. Prevent premature aging, chronic pain and unnecessary injuries.

September 20 : Neck, Shoulders, Upper Back – addressing computer use, shoulder & neck pain, telephone habits, carrying techniques, hump back, and more

September 27: Lower Back, Pelvis, Core – addressing sciatica, hip & lower back pain, tight psoas, swayback (lordosis) and more

October 4: Hands and Feet – addressing plantar fasciitis, standing habits, achilles tendon problems, bursitis, balance issues, ankle & wrist sprains, arthritis, carpel tunnel & tendonitis symptoms and more
