This 24 hour Aerial Teacher Training covers the foundations and fundamentals of aerial hammock dance. Includes: Manual and lesson plans, progressions and sequencing, safety and basic rigging and spotting.
Appropriate for someone that has been practicing aerial hammock and wants to feel more confident in the foundational tricks, skills and sequences and/or who might be interested in teaching others- understanding the deeper elements of the techniques behind each of the tricks, taking the Hammock to a more artistic level. This training comes with a digital manual along with resource videos of sequences and skills.
Learn how to make a class flow, how to develop clear and effective progressions. How to develop a daily lesson plan and incorporate conditioning and fitness exercises into your lesson plan.
24 hours of in-person training, plus 10 hours of self-work, observing, assisting and practicing.
Prerequisite: Be comfortable executing foundational level Aerial skills on silks. A background in fitness, dance, gymnastics or circus arts is a plus.
At the end of this course you will receive a certificate of completion from The Aerial Studio. This certificate qualifies you to teach the fundamentals of aerial and aerial fitness for kids and adults.

Please arrive 15 minutes early to ensure you can safely enjoy the class. Since space is limited and setup time is necessary, we are not able to accommodate late arrivals to Aerial classes.

About Carmen Curtis, AIReal Yoga™ Creator and the Premier Expert in Aerial Arts and Fitness: A zealous aerial yoga practitioner for more than two decades, Carmen first found yoga as a way to heal her body from the extreme sports of gymnastics and Cirque du Soleil performing, and has been teaching it ever since. A former UCLA national champion team gymnast and premier aerial performer, Carmen has performed in many incredible shows including De La Guarda, worked for such high-profile outlets as Cirque Du Soleil, MTV, and the Olympics, and collaborated with the research and development team for Le Reve, in which she also performed at the Wynn Hotel. Carmen touches thousands of people with her craft, as well as celebrities along the way, most recently training Beyoncé and her dancers for the superstar’s World Formation World Tour. Other well-known students of Carmen’s include such incredible talents as Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus, and Edyta Sliwnke, a professional dancer often appearing on the hit television series Dancing With The Stars.
