Let’s play and explore veil movements while belly dancing. Join Andrea in a veil workshop to go through easy, graceful and fluid veil choreography. The veil allows us to dance with more silky, flowing movement. With a veil we can make more dramatic transitions! Enjoy your creation of captivating shapes as well as illusions of disappearing and reappearing. Voilà!
Andrea has been dancing veils for over 10 years. Because the veil brings out the feminine energy, it is one of her favorite props to dance with. You can start learning veils from any experience level, sliding from easy to magical and mysterious.
Andrea would love to bring YOU into the love of veil!
After the workshop, you can ask Andrea to personally sign your copy of her new book Belly Dancing for Moms. This beautifully crafted book celebrates movement, motherhood, femininity and the art of belly dance. Available at our front desk.
Andrea de Gruchy is one of those amazing people who has founded her own exercise technique! She launched BeliRaq Dance Fitness in 2011 to combine her two passions: working out and dancing – and to share this passion with others.
Andre loves to see her students’ faces light up as they feel the rhythms and experience themselves energetically come alive to the movements of BeliRaq. She created BeliRaq for her movers’ ongoing wellness journey.
Specializing in Egyptian cabaret and belly dance, with a background in jazz, latin dance, ballroom, hip hop, African, lyrical, modern, and musical dance performance, Andrea’s wide dance experience inspires the dynamic movements that fill her classes.
Andrea has been a fitness instructor in 2011 and a personal trainer in 2019. Her enthusiasm and joy fill the room. Her classes are open to all experience levels, and made to inspire, uplift, and get people moving towards increased physical fitness with a smile!
