Come and join Eva for a wonderful morning practice that offers you rejuvenation, increased energy and stamina, paired with flexibility and joy.
This class is designed to help bring peace to the mind, ease into movements and joy to the spirit. Self-massage, gentle stretching, movement increase Chi, breathing, meditation, wisdom from the Taoist traditions of ancient China.
The ancient Taoists understood that everything alive has Qi or Chi, or prana, mana or life-force (electromagnetic currents). They learned how to increase vitality by pulling in more life-force with a certain combination of movement, breath, visualization/intent/ awareness plus the opening of joint and energy centers that can store Chi. Qigong is the underlying internal health practice behind most Asian martial arts.
In Chi Self-Massage you employ your own internal Chi. By practicing 10 min a day you clear blockages from your energy channels. You will feel a big improvement in complexion, the sense organs, the internal organs and general stamina and mobility and peace of mind. Qigong Movements gather qi and harmonize the qi flow opening the energy centers. Qigong Meditation aids using your life force efficiently to achieve better internal “mileage”.
This workout can be done very gently or more strenuously depending on the individual’s desire, understanding that unnecessary effort is a waste of precious energy.
Eva is certified by Mantak Chia as a Basic Universal Tao Qigong Instructor and informed by the many other mindful movement practices she has devoted herself to over a lifetime.
