Poetry Open Mic Night

After a brief hiatus, Poetry Open Mic Nights is back!!!  All are welcome and we honor any oral tradition from spoken word, short stories, poems, scenes from plays, anything!  They can be words you wrote or words that simply inspire you.  The only rule is that you respect our safespace by showing kindness and compassion.  I hope to see familiar and new faces.  The coffee shop will be open starting at 6p and offering Happy Hour coffee, tea and cold brew as well as the full menu, so come early, get a bevy and get ready for an interesting evening. If you’d like to participate “onstage” you can sign up ahead of time through a DM to @pelekaicoffee or email pelekaicoffee@gmail.com. You’re also welcome to just show up!

Halloween Arts & Crafts

Need a place to get crafty and make a mess that you don’t have to clean up?! Join us outside in front of PeleKai Coffee and Still & Moving Center for a Halloween Arts & Crafts workshop.  No pumpkin carving, but we will be making fuzzy spiders, light up eye balls, ghosts and paper lanterns.  We’ll have all kinds of supplies and ideas for fun, easy, spooky crafts.  $5 Donations encouraged.  You’re welcome to bring your own projects if you just want a shared space to play.

Monthly Sunday Afternoon Tea at PeleKai Coffee October 30th at 11:30a & 2p. Service includes tea sandwiches, scones with clotted cream, savory tarts, tea cakes, fresh fruit and unlimited tea service. Vegan and gluten free options available, request when you book.
