This month’s cooking adventure is Holiday themed! Join us to learn the ins and outs of preparing delicious vegetarian dishes.  Zoom in from your home kitchen for this live, interactive, cooking experience. When you finish the class, you will have a ready-to-eat Holiday meal for four.

 In this workshop she will show you how to prepare: Lentil Quinoa Loaf, Pumpkin Cornbread with Veggies and Herbs, and Chocolate Pumpkin Pie. 

Sheila attended the plant-based Culinary Institute Boot Camp in Napa, CA, and she loves sharing what she learned with you. She is the founder and owner of Wellness Becomes You. 

Come with your curiosity, a cutting board and your favorite knife and spoon for stirring, and let the fun begin. You will also need baking pans for the loaf and the cornbread, as well as a pie pan or tart pan for the dessert.  Recipes will be provided when you sign up!

The ingredient list for your convenience:

  • Brown lentils
  • Quinoa
  • Onion
  • Garlic
  • Jalapeno
  • Celery
  • Carrots
  • Ground flax or ground chia seed
  • Tamari, or soy sauce, or coconut aminos
  • Tahini
  • Fennel seeds, sage, thyme, oregano, bay leaf
  • Raisins or currants
  • Ketchup
  • Maple syrup
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • Cornmeal
  • Flour
  • Baking powder
  • Pumpkin puree
  • Non-dairy milk (almond or soy, etc)
  • Olive oil
  • Apple cider vinegar
  • Peas
  • Chopped scallions
  • Coconut milk
  • Cornstarch or arrowroot
  • Pumpkin pie spice (or cinnamon, ginger, clove, nutmeg)
  • 3 oz 60+% dark chocolate (about 2/3 cup)
  • ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate (Enjoy Life brand is vegan, if preferred)
  • Vanilla extract
  • Coconut sugar or raw sugar
  • Prepared pie crust OR Almond flour to make crust (all other ingredients listed above)
