In this Sunday workshop we continue on the theme of the shoulder girdle and neck, in relationship with the pelvis. You will learn to develop awareness of your lower back and sacrum and discover how to make space in your ilium and sacral joint, so that the many nerves in this region do not get pinched.
Learn to make use of the powerhouse of your locomotion: your hip-pelvis-lower back connection. The hip joints are part of the pelvis.
These Feldenkrais® movements enable you to sense the connection within your body so that all parts work together for powerful, flexible movement! Lower back pain often results from an unevenly stacked spine and head. The pelvis serves as our root, affecting our sense of security and strength.
Saturday, October 9 – Day 1, 2:00 – 4:30 pm HST
Sunday, October 10 – Day 2, 11:30 am – 2:15 pm HST
The workshops can be taken separately, yet build onto each other when taken together.
PLEASE NOTE: In order to continue to offer in-person classes, Still & Moving Center will require all in-person students to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test taken within 48-hours of the date of visit to the studio. Please bring your vaccine card (photocopy or photo are also acceptable) or negative test result with you to verify with the front desk prior to your next in-person class. Verification of vaccine status will be noted so that you will only need to show your vaccine card once. We will not store a visual record of your personal information.
The vaccination or testing requirement is only one part of helping keep our community safe and healthy. All other protocols still stand: You will be temperature checked and expected to maintain masks, social distancing and hand sanitizing at all times. Please bring your own yoga mat and props if possible (rentals available). If you have symptoms of COVID 19, please refrain from attending.
