If you want to build lean muscle mass, improve mobility, and increase core strength this class is for you! Students enjoy the benefits of this fusion of ballet, pilates, yoga and strength training in each workout.

Taught by Erika Levy, this class combines barre choreography with upbeat music that will leave you feeling strong, empowered and energized. Your instructor always provides low impact options as well as progressions meant to challenge you. 

Barre Above® blends the latest exercise science with the principles of the method of Lotte Berk, Founder of the “Barre Movement”. This class is designed for a wide range of fitness levels, ages and bodies.

Equipment needed:

  • Barre, Countertop, Tabletop, or Chair
  • Yoga Mat
  • Light Dumbbells (1-3 lb) OR Cans of Food (optional)
  • Small Squishy Ball OR Small Pillow (optional)

Yoga Teacher & Barre Above Instructor

Erika teaches a unique blend of yoga, pilates, ballet and strength training. She has found from her personal experience that combining music, movement and mindfulness both heals and transforms people. Students appreciate Erika’s cheerful enthusiasm.
Erika currently teaches Yoga, Barre Above, Balletone and Barre Fusions – both virtually and in Washington state. She is RYT 200 trained and also holds certifications in Barre Above (Level 2) and Balletone. She is the founder of Barre Fusions.
After 15 years in commercial production and advertising, Erika relocated from Los Angeles to Denver, CO to start a family. She became a certified Yoga Teacher through CorePower Yoga, Denver. While her children were infants and toddlers, she earned certifications in Postnatal, Baby and Me, Toddler Yoga, Imagination Yoga (Portland, OR) and Karma Kids Yoga (NYC). She has taught movement extensively, in classes and camps, in libraries, community centers, daycares and preschools.
