Learn to dance in the aerial hammock and increase your proprioception! “My what?!?” Your proprioception tells you where your body is in space, whether upright or upside down! You get to climb, twist, turn, invert and hang – safely without your parents nagging you to “get down off there!” Hah!
Increase your confidence and courage as you develop coordination, concentration, balance and strength.
“Hanging” with Olivia provides fun plus enriched learning experience!
Kindly let your teacher know of any injuries. Contra-indications for aerial classes: glaucoma, heart conditions, and fused spine.
Please arrive 15 minutes early to the first session so that we can evaluate the height of your aerial hammock.
Clothing Requirements:
For your safety: Tight-fitting clothing: shirts with sleeves, leggings
For preserving the apparatus: No zippers or metal. Jewelry off. No perfume.
*Please reserve your child’s spot under your child’s own name, not under the parent’s name.
Olivia Trice inspires her students to find their confidence and positive sense of self through movement!
A filmmaker turned aerialist, Olivia seamlessly blends her creative vision with her passion for movement. She developed her theatrical craft at the prestigious conservatory, Duke Ellington School of the Arts, which she now incorporates into her aerial dance practice, crafting performances that are as emotive as they are physically compelling.
Certified with 150 hours of aerial teacher training and accredited by AIReal Yoga, Olivia specializes in aerial dance and aerial yoga. Her favorite dance partner is her silk hammock which she describes as both a source of emotional solace and a tool for physical expression.
Olivia’s teaching philosophy centers on the relationship between the dancer and their apparatus, encouraging students to explore their creativity, develop musicality and convey powerful stories through choreography.
Olivia grew up on island and graduated from Hawaii Pacific University. Deceptively youthful in her looks, Olivia is a delightful force to be reckoned with!
