October 24 to December 5, 2022
(skipping Nov 7 & 28, 2022)

Practice gentle strengthening and flexibility in a series of yoga postures specifically designed for the pregnant and postpartum body. In this safe and encouraging space, you will move through a gentle flow and sequences designed to stabilize and revitalize your body, mind, and spirit at any point in your prenatal and postpartum journey.  All classes will include a warmup, setting intention/meditation, standing postures, seated postures, and ending relaxation. A variety of props will be provided such as blocks, bolsters and blankets, and you are invited to bring your own should you choose.

About the instructor:  Tara is a certified prenatal yoga teacher and a pediatric occupational therapist that specializes in lactation. As a mother herself, Tara’s classes will have the needs of each individual practitioner in mind, and modifications can be made for any specific needs. For your safety, the studio will need a clearance from your physician to participate in this class.  Depending on the type of birth, many healthcare providers recommend waiting until 6 weeks postpartum or later to begin an exercise practice in order to maximize healing of the body.
