Dr. Shreya Sreeram

Dr. Shreya believes anyone can be a great dancer. In her philosophy, the goal is not about how you look when you dance, but about how dance makes you feel. She states that, as we dive deeper into this feeling, the catharsis culminates as a rich visual experience for the viewer.

From as early as age 4, Shreya grew her dance skills through music and dance videos, in various local dance schools in India. She believes she is a born dancer. Her mind and body can’t help themselves when she listens to upbeat beats and songs. Teaching and volunteering at her university and college for annual performances, her stints as a choreographer started in high school and lasted well into adulthood. Apart from teaching her peers, she has choreographed multiple bollywood sequences for weddings and flash mobs.

Though her medical career initially brought her to Hawaii, love has made her stay. Being new to islands, Shreya is excited to share her culture with her new Ohana. Her teaching style is to embody patience and compassion as students navigate the experience of learning this vibrant art form.
