What two distinct and virtually unrelated things give you the benefit of a mild workout, (exercising your muscles), gets your blood flowing, decreases blood pressure and stress hormones, improves sleep patterns and boosts your immune system? Also, when practiced regularly, both can also improve memory and mental performance. Any ideas?
Here’s what Friedrich Nietzsche said: And we should consider every day lost on which we have not danced at least once. And we should call every truth false which was not accompanied by at least one laugh.
Moving your body daily, experiencing the freedom when you allow your body to move in it’s own little dance is a key element to enjoying life. Another key to enjoying life is laughter… Yes, a daily dose!
A smile starts on the lips, a grin spreads to the eyes, a chuckle comes from the belly; but a good laugh bursts forth from the soul, overflows, and bubbles all around. — Carolyn Birmingham
So here’s a couple of rules I live by:
• Surround myself with people who love to move, dance, jump, fly, climb with freedom and abandon… and they let me do the same.
• Hang out with people who love to laugh, at themselves and at life… and who remind me to do the same.
