MELT is a simple self-treatment technique that boosts your body’s ability to heal by calming your nervous system and rehydrating your connective tissue. Return your body to a more ideal state and release dehydrated connective tissue, otherwise known as “stuck stress,” which causes pain, nervous system dysregulation and other health issues. Reduce the effects of accumulated tension and stress caused by daily living.

This full-body method of self-care, working with small rubber balls and a large soft roller, can be customized to your particular needs – from improving performance and decreasing the risk of repetitive stress injuries to eliminating chronic pain, regardless of what’s causing your pain in the first place. Emerge from class feeling relaxed, revitalized and cheered as you head into the rest of your day!

Prerequisite is that students are able to get down and off the floor unassisted. No prior experience necessary. Please dress comfortably. MELT equipment is not absolutely necessary, since the teacher can give you adaptations.

Leslie Wright

Leslie Wright says that her mission is pretty simple: To help people stretch effectively so they can experience lasting relief from chronic pain.

As a Level 3 Fascial Stretch Specialist, LMT, Level 2 MELT Method Instructor, & Founder of The Wright Stretch, Leslie is intrigued with the idea of relieving pain and has always known that she would eventually assist others through some facet of the medical field. Massage & bodywork felt like the perfect fit. And so, she began her training straight out of high school and has never looked back.

Graduating from Northwest School of Massage in 2004, Leslie trained with Master Flexibility Specialists Ann & Chris Frederick and attended their workshops to the highest levels available. She was sought out as a teaching assistant for Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST) workshops multiple times throughout the US and Canada. Learning FST completely changed Leslie’s outlook on bodywork and stretching and allowed her to find her true passion – helping people find relief from pain through gentle stretching.

In 2006, she founded “The Wright Stretch” and has fine-tuned her skills by working with a wide variety of clients from professional athletes to the elderly for over 15 years. When she is not working or spending time with family, she enjoys reading (absolutely nerding out on medical documents or anatomy books), listening to great music (especially Tom Petty), hiking, & traveling.

Leslie loves helping people feel their best and is honored to work with every client and student she meets.
